Privacy Notice

How the Organising Committee handles the personal data it receives through this site.

Who we are

Tashkent State University of Law, 35/2 Sayilgoh Street, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, acting through the Organising Committee of the International Digital Law Moot, is responsible for the personal data described here. Write to us at idl.moot@tsul.uz.

What we collect

  • Team registration: the team name, university and country; the main contact’s name, email and phone; each member’s name, programme and year of study; the coach’s name, position and email; anything written in the notes field; and, after confirmation, proof of each member’s student status.
  • Applications to judge: name, contact details, country, position and organisation, professional background and experience, profile link, areas of expertise, availability, and connections with universities or teams.
  • With every form: the date and time of sending, the sender’s IP address and browser details, recorded automatically by our form service to prevent spam and abuse.
  • At the event: photographs and video of the oral rounds and the awards ceremony.

Why we use it

To register and confirm teams and judges, check eligibility and conflicts of interest, assign Team Codes, pairings and tribunals, contact participants about the competition, publish results, issue certificates, report on the competition and keep the forms free of spam. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Legal basis

We process personal data with the consent given in the form, in line with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Personal Data”. When a team registers, its main contact confirms that every person named in the form has agreed.

Who receives it

  • Members of the Organising Committee, only as far as their tasks require.
  • Judges mark memorials under a Team Code and do not receive the registration forms.
  • Service providers: Netlify, Inc. hosts this site and stores form submissions; Google provides the reCAPTCHA check on the forms and the fonts of this site; form notifications are delivered to the university’s email system.
  • The public: team names, universities and award winners may be published with the results.

Where it is stored

Form submissions are stored by Netlify on servers in the United States. Copies of form notifications and later correspondence are kept in the university’s email system. By sending a form, you agree to this transfer.

How long we keep it

Form submissions and proof of student status are deleted within six months of the Final, that is by 17 July 2027. The results, the list of participating teams and records of certificates are kept in the Organising Committee’s archive, as the Regulation requires.

Your rights

You may ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time by writing to idl.moot@tsul.uz. If consent is withdrawn before the competition ends, the team or judge may no longer be able to take part.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics. The reCAPTCHA check on the registration and judge forms is provided by Google and may set Google cookies; see Google’s Privacy Policy.
